Works great! just run what Adam posted 'u3-tool -p0 /dev/sgX' without the quotes and 'X' replacing what it says for your device !OH and MAKE sure you run it with sudo!! or root, otherwise it wont work and give you errors. This is just to clarify for those of us who dont use the terminal and get lost with cli. thanks daviedev
Some Answers & Info about U3 LaunchPad. Ok here is what I have found through some digging and research. I have personall tested these findings as well. I've come across some posts that seem to imply that the Sandisk Installer would work with other manufacturers. STEP 2 - Download U3 Launchpad Installer 1. Download the U3 Launchpad Installer from the above link. Click Save File and save it to your desktop. STEP 3 - Run U3 Launchpad Installer Wizard 1. Insert a SanDisk compatible U3 smart drive to your computer. Double-click LPInstaller.exe 3. Select Accept then click Next.

Using U3 Launchpad Settings
1.Connect the U3 flash drive to an open USB port on your computer
2.Locate the U3 Launchpad Software's icon in the notificaitons area on the taskbar and click it. Click 'Settings' and click 'U3 Launchpad Settings.'
3.Click the 'Uninstall' link in the left pane on the U3 Launchpad settings window that launches, and then click the 'Uninstall U3 Launchpad' button
4.Click 'Next' and select 'Yes' if you want to restore the files on your U3 flash drive after removing the U3 Launchpad Software.
5.Click the 'Format' button to uninstall U3 Launchpad Software.

Using U3 Setup
1.Plug the U3 flash drive into an open USB port on your PC and wait for the 'Welcome to U3' setup to launch if this is the first time you're setting up the flash drive.

- Backup your files before uninstalling U3 Launchpad.
- To uninstall U3 Launchpad Software, you must be logged on as the administrator.
